10 Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Stefan Vojcak

32 | 6’5” | Bratislava, Slovakia | 5-0 | 5 Finishes | 2 KO/TKOs, 3 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 44-39 | Best Win – Ion Grigore (10-3)

Vojcak is a bit older at 32 but he’s still young at heavyweight. Not to mention, he’s only fought in MMA for a little over a year so fight mileage is low. He’s been fighting low-level guys but Ion Grigore was at least a decent enough fighter.

Vojcak is a big man that has some light footwork and is quick for his size. It’s been easy so far for him to get the takedown and maul his opponent on the mat. Vojcak has some nice low-shot double-leg takedowns he explodes forward with. He’s finished with a keylock, RNC, pounded guys out, and a rare chest smother.

“I have been involved in combat sports since I was nine years old when I first started training in freestyle wrestling. Because of my speed and mobility, my wrestling style reminded my coaches of a lightweight wrestling style,” Vojcak told Cageside Press. “I got into MMA as a wrestling sparring partner of the biggest personalities of the Czech-Slovak MMA scene, including UFC fighters. My toughness and ruthlessness in the cage caught the trainer’s eye and the rest is history. I am more and more hungry for fights and victories, and even in 2023, I will throw my opponents to the ground without mercy and finish them hard. However, I would be happy if it was within the UFC, as the best fighting organization in the world. In addition, by moving to the world’s elite in the UFC, I will show people that where there’s a will, there’s a way and it’s never too late to start! UFC, I’m ready, let’s talk!”
