All but one fighter successfully made weight for UFC 290 at Friday’s official weigh-ins.
The lone exception on the International Fight Week card was Jalin Turner, the last man to weigh in during Friday’s window. He came in two pounds heavy for a lightweight fight with Dan “The Hangman” Hooker, and will forfeit 20% of his purse as a result.
The main players of UFC 290 made weighed in early and without issue. Alexander Volkanovski, Yair Rodriguez, Brandon Moreno, and Alexandre Pantoja all weighed in successfully within the first few minutes on Friday morning. Both title fights are a go, while Brandon Royval, who hit the scales and made championship weight as a back-up for the co-main event, likely won’t be needed.
Robbie Lawler, meanwhile, made the welterweight limit for the final time, as he intends to retire following the event.
