All-female fighting outfit Invicta FC returned to action on Friday, October 27, 2023, touching down in Boston, MA for the first time in promotion history for Invicta FC 54: McCormack vs. Wojcik.

With the city’s deep Irish roots, it was no surprise to see Dublin, Ireland’s Danni McCormack headlining the show, looking to defend her strawweight title for the first time. Opposite McCormack, Poland’s Karolina Wojcik, getting her first shot at Invicta gold.

Wojcik had fallen in the Invicta strawweight tournament to Valesca Macadho — who happened to be on Friday’s card as well, facing Kalindra Faria in the co-main event, also at 115lbs.

Among other familiar names on the bill, Kristina “War Horse” Williams, a Bellator MMA veteran who had seen a three-fight win streak snapped in her last outing.

Invicta FC 54 takes place at the Citizens House of Blues in Boston, MA on Oct. 27 with the action getting underway at 8PM ET. Full results and a live stream of all the action can be found below.

Invicta FC was back in action on Wednesday, and back in Denver, Colorado in what was a busy week or so for the mountainous state.

Saturday’s BKFC 41, Invicta FC 53, and Friday’s ONE Fight Night 10 all came in or around Denver. On the Invicta front, it was atomweight champ Jillian DeCoursey in the main event, looking to make the first defense of her title after winning the belt last year against Jessica Delboni. Brazilian Rayanne dos Santos, a former Dana White’s Contender Series fighter who came up short on the show, had also won two straight ahead of her title challege, including her Invicta FC debut.

Invicta FC 53 airs live on AXS TV and Fight Network on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, as well as online via the live stream below. Full results for the event, which gets underway at 9PM ET, can also be found below.

Invicta FC returned to action on Wednesday night in Denver, Colorado, with Invicta FC 52 topped by a strawweight title fight.

That bout saw Valesca Machado attempting the first title defense of her strawweight reign against Ireland’s Danni McCormack. “Tina Black” had won the title last year at Invicta FC 50, winning two fights in a night to capture gold and win the promotion’s 115lb tournament.

McCormack, who had also fought that very same night, punched her ticket to a title shot by coming out victorious in her promotional debut, against Maíra Mazar. The former Bellator athlete was looking at her first shot at gold in a major promotion on Wednesday night.

In the evening’s co-main event, two fighters who lost to Macado in last year’s tournament, Karolina Wojcik and Ediana Silva, clashed, with the winner ready to jump back in the title hunt.

Full results from Wednesday’s Invicta FC 52 at ReelWorks, Denver in Denver, CO can be found below. Where available, a live stream of the full card can also be viewed in the video embed below.

Wednesday night saw all-female fighting organization Invicta FC kick off their 2023, with two title fights topping the night in Denver, Colorado.

Invicta FC 51 was set to unfold at Reelworks Denver, with bantamweight champion Taneisha Tennant putting her title on the line against UFC vet Talita Bernardo in the main event.

Tennant’s run as a bantamweight had been perfect to date, with the only blemish on her record coming up a weight class on Dana White’s Contender Series, where she had lost a decision against boxing standout Danyelle Wolf. Yet while Wolf had gone 0-1 in the UFC since, “Triple Threat” Tennant first won, then defended, Invicta’s 135lb strap.

Bernardo, meanwhile, left the UFC following a disappointing 1-3 run, but was 3-0 since, picking up wins over fellow UFC ex-pat Lucie Pudilova, and TUF 28 alum Katharina Lehner.

Invicta FC’s vacant flyweight title was up for grabs in the co-main event on Wednesday. That match-up saw Bellator vet Kristina “War Horse” Williams paired up with Brazil’s Ketlen Souza.

Williams had won three straight to start the night, with two of those victories under the Invicta banner. Souza had won four straight, and made her promotional debut last time out.

Full results and a live stream of the action from Invicta FC 51 can be found below!

Invicta FC returned to Denver, Colorado on Wednesday night, with their highly anticipated single-night strawweight tournament set to crown a new champion at Invicta FC 50.

While previous Invicta tournaments, their Phoenix Series, had consisted of a mix between exhibition and professional contests due to some fights being just one round, the four-woman strawweight field at Invicta FC 50 were set for two three rounds fights each, with a total of six rounds possible should both go the distance.

Entered into the tournament were a trio of Brazilians in top prospect Valesca Machado, former UFC fighter Gloria de Paula, and 20-year old Ediana Silva. Rounding out the field was Polish newcomer Karolina Wojcik, while former atomweight title challenger Minna Grusander served as a reserve fighter, and Danni McCormack took on Maira Mazar in a reserve bout.

In the evening’s co-feature, Katharina Lehner, who most recently competed for Bellator MMA, looked to snap a three-fight skid against UFC vet Talita Bernardo.

Invicta FC 50 kicks off at 9PM ET on November 16, 2022, with a live stream of all the action available below. Full results from the event, which takes place at ReelWorks Denver in Denver, CO, are also available below.

The atomweight title was on the line at Wednesday’s Invicta FC 49 in Oklahoma.

In the first defense of her 105lb title, Brazil’s Jessica Delboni faced off with Jillian DeCoursey in the Invicta FC 49 main event. Delboni had battled through Invicta’s Phoenix Series atomweight tournament to land a title shot and rematch with rival Alesha Zappitella, a fight she won earlier this year to claim gold.

To secure her own shot at the belt, DeCoursey had landed a thunderous knockout on Lindsey VanZandt in her own most recent outing.

Also on Wednesday’s card, Katlyn Neil faced Hannah Guy in a battle of former Bellator MMA fighters. The fight was also a battle of former The Ultimate Fighter 30 flyweights, who did not end up facing one another on the show earlier this year.

Invicta FC 49 takes place live on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 live from the Sugar Creek Casino in Hinton, Oklahoma. The event airs on AXS TV in the U.S., Fight Network in Canada, as well as on the promotion’s official YouTube channel starting at 8PM ET. Invicta FC 48 was a night full of finishes.

For critics who claim that the ladies all too often go to decision, Invicta FC 48 was the perfect evidence to the contrary. Four of the first five fights on the Denver, CO-based card finished inside the distance, including three by rear-naked choke.

The evening was kicked off by Auttumn Norton and Maria Djukic at bantamweight, with Norton welcoming Canada’s Djukic to the promotion. It was a rude welcome in the end; Norton finished off the Canadian early in the second, rocking her opponent, practically throwing her to the canvas, and piling on with strikes.

From there, it was all submissions. First Amber Leibrock, then Bellator veteran Kristina “Warhorse” Williams, and finally UFC alum Talita Bernardo all locked in rear-naked chokes.

In the case of Bernardo, the win came against fellow Brazilian Yana Gadelha, who stepped into the fight on short notice to replace Katharina Lehner.

Invicta FC bantamweight champion Taneisha Tennant anchored the main event against former Bellator title challenger Olga Rubin. Both ladies opened the action firing head kicks; Rubin would then give Tennant a different look, taking the back along the fence and working to drag the champ down — though Tennant demonstrated some solid takedown defense.

Tennant’s takedown defense would be tested throughout the opening five minutes, leading to Rubin having the edge on the scorecards with two judges (Colorado had open scoring in effect for the event). The subsequent round saw a lot of feeling out, with Tennant having the answer to Rubin’s takedown attempts — but seemingly stymied when it came time to get her hands going.

That continued into the third, but by the end of 15 minutes, Tennant was up on the scorecards, 29-28. In the fourth, the pair went to the ground near the midway mark, with Rubin working on a buggy choke off her back. Rubin put on the squeeze, but Tennant gutted it out until the end of the frame.

The title fight would go the distance, with Tennant turning things up at the end of the round. That may have been key, as the end result was a split decision: one judge awarded Tennant all five rounds, while the other two each scored the fight 48-47— only to be split on the winner.

A win is a win, and Tennant retains her bantamweight title, defending it for the first time.

Invicta FC was in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday night, with Invicta FC 48 a rare road show for the all-female fighting promotion.

In the main event, a bantamweight title fight saw Taneisha Tennant attempt to make the first defense of her 135lb title, against former Bellator MMA title challenger Olga Rubin. “Triple Threat” had won the title last August against Lisa Verzosa, after coming up short against boxer Danyelle Wolf on Dana White’s Contender Series.

The Invicta FC 48 co-feature, meanwhile, saw UFC vet Talita Bernardo paired up with another Brazilian fighter with strong jiu-jitsu credentials in Yana Gadelha.

Also in action on Wednesday night, Bellator MMA veteran Kristina “Warhorse” Williams, who went 3-3 in Bellator from 2017 to 2020. Williams was in search of her third consecutive win, and second inside the Invicta cage, when she took on Liana Pirosin of Brazil.

Invicta FC 48 goes down live on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at ReelWorks Denver in Denver, Colorado. Open scoring will be in effect. The event will be broadcast on AXS TV in the U.S., Fight Network in Canada, and on Invicta’s Youtube channel and Facebook page.

Former Invicta atomweight champ Alesha Zappitella moved up to the strawweight division for a shot at another title in the main event of Wednesday night’s Invicta FC 47.

Zappitella took on Emily Ducote to top the seven-fight card, which once again went live from Kansas City, Kansas, streaming on the promotion’s official YouTube channel. Ducote, a former flyweight title challenger in Bellator MMA, had captured Invicta’s strawweight belt in her last fight — a shocking, Knockout of the Year candidate against former UFC fighter Danielle Taylor. That win had no doubt got the attention of the bigger promotions; a third straight win could see her on to something bigger.

Also on Wednesday’s Invicta FC 47 card, Courtney King returned for the first time since a loss to Kayla Harrison, while atomweights Lindsey VanZandt and Jillian DeCoursey faced off.

Full results from Invicta FC 47, which streams live on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas can be found below. The broadcast gets underway at 8PM ET, and can be viewed in its entirety in the embed provided.

For those who enjoy the wilder side of MMA — all-out brawls with two fighters tearing down the house — the Invicta FC 46 co-main event was right up their alley.

Former UFC talent Milana Dudieva faced of with promotional newcomer Denise Gomes in the flyweight scrap, and the pair unquestionably stole the show.

In the early going, it was Dudieva putting on a strong performance, especially in the second frame. Towards the end of the round, the Russian flyweight dropped her opponent more than once. Gomes proved crafty, surviving just long enough to clear the cobwebs; after the second knockdown, Dudieva pursued the finish, locking up in a clinch and firing knees, doing all she could to separate and find some space — but Gomes was saved by the bell.

The tables were turned in the third frame. Gomes battled back, ripping the body as Dudieva, apparently spent after a reportedly rough weight cut, covered up. Gomes then began piling it out, battering Dudieva until she slumped down against the fence. The fight might have been stopped there, but the ref gave Dudieva an extra chance to survive — which was wholly unnecessary. Dudieva tried to get a leg between her and Gomes, but mostly just ate further ground n’ pound until the fight was finally called, giving Gomes the third-round TKO victory.

Denise Gomes improved to 5-1 with the victory, and has not lost since her professional debut in 2017.

In the main event, Daiana Torquato found the takedown in the opening round of her flyweight title fight rematch with champ Karina Rodriguez. Rodriguez was the aggressor in the early going of the round, but Torquato, who stepped into the bout on short notice, got the fight where she wanted it late care of an outside trip — which may have stolen the round for the challenger.

Come the second round, Rodriguez again had to fight off the wrestling of Torquato, and was able to get back to her feet when the fight did hit the mat. But Brazil’s Torquato found herself planted on her back again late in the second round, and finishing rounds on her back was not going to be a good look for the judges — especially with Torquato active on top, working the body and looking to pass into mount.

Heading into the third, the open scoring in Kansas City saw one judge ruling the bout a draw to that point. Otherwise, it was Torquato with the lead. Once again in round three, Rodriguez had to spend a good chunk of time just keeping Torquato off of her. It was a more successful round for the champ, with a little more being shown in the stand-up department, but still a very close round, in which Torquato won the bulk of the clinch battles.

Round four saw an early clinch controlled by Torquato; Rodriguez eventually would break free. Plenty of clinch work and single strikes followed. The champ would fire a fierce body kick in the second half of the round, but Torquato caught it, leading to a takedown. Rodriguez nearly had the upper hand, but in the scramble that ensued, Torquato reclaimed top position. Rodriguez would escape out with under a minute to go, and would land a right hand in a brief exchange ahead of the buzzer.

Entering round five, two judges had the fight dead even. One had Rodriguez ahead by a round, in what was to that point a very close fight.

An early clinch in the final round of the Invicta FC 46 main event saw Torquato again controlling the head; an elbow was fired off the break, and Torquato would land with a right hand back at distance. Rodriguez worked her jab, but it was another right from Torquato making an impact a moment later. The challenger had a body lock in place within a minute, but couldn’t drag Rodriguez down. They’d break, and the champ would connect with a left hand in the process.

Once again, Torquato would drive Rodriguez into the fence, looking for a takedown. But it wasn’t there, and back at center, Rodriguez began turning it up. Not that Torquato didn’t answer. But in the final minute, it was the champ on the attack, before one final clinch ran down the clock.

The final round made all the difference. Two judges scored it for Rodriguez, giving her the split decision win with scores of 48-47 and 49-46 in her favor. The dissenting judge had it 48-47 for Torquato.

Given the bout came on short notice, there’s a chance the pair meet again down the road. But for the time being, it was Karina Rodriguez with her second straight win, improving to 10-4 with four wins in her past five fights.
